Thanks Bob...
I had the most scary night last night. The wind was so strong, we had no electricity and again the wind was so strong. I hardly slept... but thank God we are now safe. Unfortunately, other parts of the country were devastated and lots of people are reported dead on the streets.

My thoughts go out to all of the people involved in this.
My best wishes go both to all the people, and a very special mention to all rescue service personnel. Good luck to every one of you ! Let us not forget all the poor animals either. Every creature is so worthy of life and deserves help and protection. |

Hi Wanle,
So glad you and yours are safe and that you weathered the storm. I feel very bad for all of those poor people (and animals too). Your and your countrymen are in my prayers. Best.. Mark kidshowvent@gmail.com |

Thanks to all.
Manila, where we live, was not badly hit, though we experienced some scary winds. The middle part of the country, the Visayas area, was devastated. I can't stand seeing footage of the damage. We have families and friends there, and as I write this we cannot reach them, we still don't know what happened to them, where they are, are they alive or safe, because all communication lines are cut, there is no electricity, food, water, etc. The Filipinos have gone through this kind of calamity many, many times and by God's grace we have been bouncing back. The government and the whole country are starting to provide help to the victims, who we believe will be survivors soon. And yes, prayers definitely help. |

I saw the footage on tv, here in Spain they reported that it was the biggest storm on record, it must have been terrifying. The worlds weather seems to be going mad, my son took some video of a twister just off the beach where we live, unheard of. Glad to hear that yo and your family are safe.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

I am in Antipolo City... the mountain area near Manila and last Friday night was the scariest storm night I can remember.
We have just moved to a new house 3 months ago and this was our 1st terifying storm. Our house is near a cliff and there are no units in front of our house so there was no windbreaker except for a few mango treees. My wife and I hardly slept. We were so worried because the wind was so strong as in really strong... Thank God it's over... unfortunately not in other parts of the country. I heard in the news that an evacuation center was hit by a 40 feet flash flood killing everyone. Its a disaster...

Thank you everyone for your concern. I live in Metro Manila and the storm did not hit my area except for a few strong winds. I even had a show that night during that storm and all the guests in that party were all present. Classes were suspended in all levels and most private businesses were sent home by lunch. Which also means no traffic at all considering it was a Friday.
It is only now that I realize the vast devastation it has brought to many parts of our country. It is so saddening to watch it on TV.
