I always get someone to video from behind to "show" the spec what just happened and why all their friends were laughing so hard.

I already PM-ed Chris but too anxious to wait for reply.

As with book tests, I always ensure the spectator can read without reading glasses or has them with them when they come up on stage. I know good vision is required to read a word in a book but with reading glasses, will this work also? I already have my pacing and patter down for stage calls so this would be a no brainer if reading glasses are acceptable for at least Speechless.

Thanks

Looks like this did not work at the end when the word education is shown with the camera. Can someone comment please? I assume distance is the problem?

PS: ALso a quick question before my cards arrive. Can I copy the cards that are supplied on a copy machine and use those? I am concerned about wear and tear of the main speechless cards supplied. Thanks.

They provided PDFs of the words , you can print them . But if you wanted to copy those supplied , yes very possible I think , if your ink has the same end look as the original image .

You can copy them but you really need to keep the orig. as they really make the cleanest copies.

Good magic to all,

Maybe you could scan it to at least keep a digital version of the original . But actually it doesn't matter that much ... The PDF version is actually quite good enough .

Great help gang, appreciate it while waiting. I have a lot to learn about copying. I can scan but it goes on just regular copy thin paper. I assume Kinkos or Walgreens I take a thumb drive in with the JPEGs and they can help me with the correct card stock?

OCD kicking in with ideas....anxious to get this and complete the trial and error phase before paid gig deployment. Smile

I used this today in the second paid performance, today being a stand up show. I was booked for a mentalism adult show but the families included kids. I reluctantly decided to use two approximately 12 year old boys. Went extremely well. After the show I asked what effects they liked best and this was one of them. Nice to know when you are breaking in new stuff. It can only get better!

I tested it. The gimmick is not for stage.

Which size do you recommend?

Do you print like a photo print?

I have performed this on stage many times. My cards are A4 size and matt laminated. Never had a problem.

Thank you for the tip.

My venue has a spot light beam to the performer all the time.

Is that what you mean certain lighting?

I maybe try out tonight.
