You're missing my point completely. Telepathy does not necessarily present an advantage. Whether witches existed or not is irrelevant. The fact is that people who were BELIEVED to be witches were routinely killed. I'm suggesting that telepathy would pose a threat to those who didn't have it.
While natural selection would seem to favor telepathy, artificial selection does not. |

I think we've gone down the rabbit hole here. I accept that you aren't even considering the possibilities I suggested, even though they are no more speculative than the notion that evolution would favor telepathy.
It seems to me (and I may be wrong) that you are simply arguing from the a priori conclusion that psi does not exist, while I believe that there is sufficient favorable evidence to warrant further, and more serious, investigation. |

Mine's just based on the research that I keep up with regularly. It is, of course, subject to change. I try not to make assumptions or hold beliefs not supported by evidence.
Obviously, whether or not evolution would favor telepathy is pure speculation. |

Telepathie-research? oki doki.. hope the rest of your research is more precice than the one with (the assumption of) all the burned witches which was the center of your argumentation ("artificial selection")..
sure - telepathie would not be a strong strengh for those who can read minds of others while not beeing identified having this ability (or communicating with each other while nobody realises this).. getting and exchanging sectrets never was a strength and it will never be I guess.. *ooops* wait - just getting a vision.. I see someone posting the question if telepathie would be a big advantagte in evolution in a forum for evolution-theorie.. also seeing the answers.. all the same.. but can not tell the answer right here.. it is a to big secret and not evident at all.. Posted: Nov 19, 2013 6:46pm Well, got oki to quote someone about the question if telepathie would be a strength for those who have it: "The argument that if telepathy existed we would all have it because of its evolutionary advantage is, IMO, a weak one. It would also be advantageous for us to have retained gills and wings. A tail would still be handy occasionally as well." which implies that it is a strength / individuals witht this ability would be "advantageous".. well, the rest of understanding is about strengths/advantageous on the one hand and darwinism on the other hand.. |

Newsweek article about an occult revival hitting the mainstream
http://mag.newsweek.com/2013/10/25/witch......urg.html Yes more evidence that psi is being accepted as a reality by the mainstream. As bob says in the web, "we mentalists will need to find jobs"
I no longer smoke camel cigarettes.
