I would like to see a section where we can talk about fond memories of magicians past, and their acts. You could call it specifically by that name, or you could have a section called hodgepodge, or miscelaneous, or general interest, etc. Personally, I've been dying to chat about my memories of Doug Henning aand his T.V. specials. I can't find any place on the forums where this would be appropos.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

Maybe "Looking out for our own" under General. He's not here at the Café.. But he's a magician, so techincally he's still one of our own.
"penguin is the cheapest magic shop online" - some person I was talking to on AIM.

Looking out for our own is better suited for news about those in the business that are ill or undergoing hard times. A better suited forum for this type of discussion would be Names in the media.

What happened, was this...
There is nothing that remains so constant as change. Don't end up like concrete, all mixed up and permanently set.

I would like to see a catagory for hobbiest. We have special problems, like where to find specks after you have shown all your family and friends, which tricks to concentrate on, etc. Tom

Maybe I wasn't clear in what I meant. Although I'm not new to magic, I read that catagory. I've been doing magic off and on for about 60 years. I have a bureau drawer full of tricks I've done once or twice and maybe four hundred magic books I've bought over the years. My problems, and I'm sure I'm not alone, are that I have such a limited audiance. Professionals and people who work in magic shops are not going to understand that very well. I'm looking for advice, suggestions, and communication about that and other things unique to hobbiest. Tom

Tom, you might also want to look at Food for thought which is a discussion of magic ideas or Double dare.
