Here is a tip on learning the memorized deck. If you are learning the Aronson stack, The way I did it was to take an old deck and a magic marker, and turn it into a flash card deck. I simply wrote in bold letters on the back of each card it's number, and that I could carry it around everywhere and work on the memorization at my convenience. Hope this helps.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.

Alternatively, you could used the SuperMemo software on a Palm PDA.

Been there, done that!

I found the best way was to divide the deck into thirds, then concentrate on one chunk at a time!

If you want to learn it you will.

Do others find themselves reworking exisiting effects to maintain the stack, or loooking for new effects that utilize the effect?

Or improving existing effects through the stack?

Just curious where others are focusing.

Quick note...
I believe Joyal mentions this method somewhere in his 6-Hour Memorized Deck book. That's exactly how I learned it...and believe me...this method works.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.
