Looks like it could be good, will wait for the reviews though, as always

How many ways really r there to think of a card. I would think most of us by now have a reliable way to do this. I use 7 by Bryn Reynolds.

The thing I don't like about the descriptions is how it says " Within mere minutes you divine the card..." And " In a short space of time..."
Those make it sound like some serious process to find the card. I wonder how much of that is being left out? Just a simple an*****? A number of changes they make to their card and date? A long mathematical procedure? It could be ANYTHING. Those are both terrible descriptions. |

The blurb leads me to wonder if there is any similarity between this effect and the recently released 'Cog' by Ben Seward?

A review would be great, probably a PA but that doesn't matter to me, a good PA can be priceless

There is nothing new here. I bought it the other day....Only half way through it. Its a classic of mentalism revamped....so far not revamped enough for me to have been released but I am only half way through it. Maybe further on there will be more insight.

Late to the party, I know but here are my thoughts:
While this doesn't advance the concept or go into depth of the core method in the way that other works do (I'm sure most of you will know what I am referring to), I do think that this provides a nice scripted piece of propless mentalism for beginners in this area. I do very much like the thinking behind 'trying a different approach' after a miss to hide what you are doing although I do think this could have perhaps been developed further. The value of this isn't so much in the method itself, but the little justifications that we can adapt for other effects using the method. However, that being said, it will require a skilled performer in order to distract away from the process which isn't that heavy but will require quite a lot of work, confidence, practice and fluency to conceal (due to the number of similar steps that must be followed, this effect seems to suffer from this issue in a way others using the method don't). I think the date element is quite nice though and I hadn't seen it applied to this method in this way before. This acts as a good springboard but barely scrapes the surface of the potential of the methodology that is explored in depth in other publications. |
