Hi everyone,

I hope you're all having a great Christmas. It's 9.00am the day after Christmas for me and I'm still full from Christmas lunch, haha.

Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone thought about producing 10+ assistants one by one from behind a cloth. Would this be boring? I thought if done in quick succession it might be interesting. What do you think?

Merry Christmas,

Well, you wouldn't be the first to do so.
Lance Burton did, and I have one of 10 or 15
tapes that are only available of his first
special that never aired. In it he did something
like that. Although it’s nice to see a bunch of
assistants produced, it seems kind of long.

If you’re trying to give some filler time I guess
It’s good for the audience.
Go with your gut feeling.

Good luck.

Doug Henning did it back in the 70's. He produced 20 or so cheerleaders if I remember correctly. I believe he used a method, originally designed by Jarrett.

As to whether it is boring or not...depends on your presentation. When you are producing something one way to fool people is to show the device empty. To make it even more incredible, produce so much that it is obvious that the production load (in this case 10 or 20 people) would never fit! That makes the illusion even more incredible...if and it's a big if, your presentation is strong.

To add to Stevens comments, if memory serves, I think Doug broke up the Illusion by producing one girl at a time for the first ten or so then to make it climatic he opened the illusion up and it was filled with another 10 or so which he produced "as a group", pompoms and all!

It took away the boredom factor of producing all 20 one at a time.
