Can anyone recommend any books about gamblers and conmen? I have just read a book on Titanic Thompson and crave more.

The Fast Jack book is an absolute must read.
One I will also add to the list that, unfortunately, seems to have gone unnoticed by many magicians is called "The Mark Inside" by Amy Reading. It chronicles the history of Frank Norfleet, a Texas rancher who was swindled in a con and subsequently tracked the men down. In West Texas, where I grew up he was a legend. |

What era are you looking for? Books from 100 years ago aren't going to read anything like modern gambling/con books. Both can be great, but do you have a preference for more late 19th/early 20 century "classic" con stuff, or do you want stuff that's happened in the last 50 or so years?
