I have 2.0 and think it is great, but I wish it had included the original handling details from the first one on the included dvd. Could it be on there and I just missed it somehow?

The 1st Intercessor came in the form of a booklet. It has Gaetan Bloom's "Favorite Routine" and the trick with the card under the table leg. Some additional ideas by Juan Tamaraz as well. From the trailer on Penguin's website, he was doing the under table leg routine. In the beginning it is handling instructions on how to tear the corner. This booklet came with the thick gimmick that had the very sharp beveled edge.

I guess to be complete (I believe he mentions 2.0 can be used the same as the first version) I wish he had included the original booklet in a Pdf file on the disc. That would have been helpful.

Does anyone know the difference between the original Intercessor and 2.0?

Again, why not look at the video demo on Penguin or YouTube it is all said their. Bloom said the difference is stronger not bendable steel template, and the lower template is now smaller, so that you can do his original effect that was sold through Ken Brooke Magic Place in the 1970's. That tear gimmick was only a round corner tear, but there was a reason to have 2 sizes of torn corners, as the lower template will only tear the blank corner on a card.

So....to wrap up. The difference between the first and the second version is that:
1. Thicker steel. Less likely to bend (although mine hasn't bent yet) 2. Different tears on ver 2 than on ver 1. Is this correct?

I said, the "original effect", in the English language "routine" means the actions of the process of the performer. "Missing Digit" instructions explains his card under the table leg reveal, which is included in the Intercessor instruction booklet and in his current DVD instructions. That being said, the routine looks the same, but do to the new "Intercessor" gimmick, the preparation and handling is not exactly the same. I have the trick in my Ken Brooke Collection. To be honest, Gaton said Intercessor was developed from his original idea from his original gimmick. So this could actually be considered the initial prototype or the forerunner to the current Intercessor gimmick. |

Paul, are you saying that the handling of the gimmick is not mentioned on the DVD?
In a open forum I can only say, put it on top of the deck. |

Bill,
That is what I am saying. The dvd explains the new way of doing it but not the original way of doing it with the gimmick in the deck.

No, it shows it. He builds the gimmick with dbl sided tape and a sh*rt card. His performance of SALAD certainly shows how to use it. |
