Does anyone think we as a society can come up with any new ideas? Or has everything been thought of . Not just mechanical inventions but real original thought processes.

Do you think we are still capable of original thought?
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

As true today as it was when Shakespeare wrote it.

There are some bad programs out there.

And I hear that there is a virus going around.

In an odd way, I think that via our persistance re: striving in technology ("mechanical inventions," above) will cause us to think in new ways. As we overcome technical problems, issues and challenges, they will create new thinking and ideas.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

There are plenty of new ideas all the time. Not enough of looking at what of the old ideas work.

Here's an example of new idea utilizing technology.

I think opposite will happen: with advances in technology we'll see great increase in new ideas.
