Does anyone remember this band or this album? I can remember just about wearing out this cassette my junior year of high school! What a great band, just finished listening to this album for the first time in about 30 years and can STILL remember most of the lyrics!
Have a listen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyOdsRXxw5o Mark

Reading up on them a bit, I'm neither surprised nor not surprised that I never heard of them. Back in the day, I generally listened to either my own record collection or FM radio stations that played a lot of album rock. So having not owned the record, I'm not surprised. Having listened to FM, I would think that I would have come across them. But I didn't.
I've been listening to the album. Standard rock from that era. Well done, but nothing exceptionally interesting. Still, a fun diversion. Thanks for asking! |

Same here. Never heard of them. I was a big fan of album rock and FM radio but somehow they stayed off my radar.

In '81, if they didn't produce a video for MTV, I probably didn't hear of them.

I'm shocked! Growing up north of Boston, they were played very regularly on FM rock stations. However since they are from the mid-west (Missouri) they never got a national following.
Thanks everyone for chiming in. I know I can't be the only one who has heard this band. They sold 200,000 of this album alone! While NOT great numbers, somebody must of heard of them. PS I heard the song "Breakout" a couple of weeks ago on The House of Hair with Dee Snider. That's what made me start this thread. Now please don't anyone say "Who's Dee Snider?" Mark

I remember the band, but never bought any of their stuff.

BTW: 200,000 is not a great number? It's not "Frampton Comes Alive", but it's not peanuts, either.
Does anyone around here remember Peter Frampton? :jump: |

Mark,
Thank you for the link. I played several of their songs and loved it. I love 80's music, however, I had forgotten their name. I remember hearing the 2nd song on the radio back in the day. I just placed my order for their first three albums. |
