The science of AGW .... Really Bob? Warmists is now the new Bad Word? You can sure dish it out Bob. Haven't you been calling us all a bunch of DENIERS, TRUTHERS, BIRTHERS, and all the rest.
And just when I thought you might reach a true understanding with something in common..... But bottom line ... We now know that contrary to the opening headline .... Scientists DO NOT agree on Global Warming.

You've got to keep up, Slim. I STOPPED using the word "Deniers" because rockwall was offended by it. "Truthers" has never been a pejorative. Those groups that don't accept the official 9/11 story call THEMSELVES truthers. Many are PROUD to be called "truthers":
http://vaughntreude.info/wordpress/proud-to-be-a-truther/ And "birthers?" Well, they're just ridiculous. But it's interesting that you seem to have no problem with rockwall accusing those who disagree with him of smoking dope. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Do you agree that we must be smoking pot if we accept that AGW is occurring? A simple yes or no will suffice. |

Bob stopped name calling even in the face of being called names.

So clearly you see doing drugs or drinking alcohol causes you to not see things clearly.

It's more that I continue to point out how you, who constantly complains about name calling, is always name calling. Also, as I mentioned to Danny in a previous post, I've never had someone, (least of all you), complain to me that they are offended by the name 'warmist'. And, as you point out to Slim a few posts later, some names are OK because those being called the name approve of it. (truthers?) And, as I pointed out to Danny, I wouldn't mind being called a sceptic. (I know you read the post because you quickly pointed out that you thought sceptic was the same word as septic, but that's OK, I know you get confused.) I don't think I asserted that ALL warmists smoke dope, I was simply referencing the ones that I know here who have admitted to it. Sorry if you misunderstood my intent. (And I realize that there are probably many sceptics and even a lot of those who don't care one way or another who partake of the herb in question but they wouldn't be worried about the AGW implications. My point was that the warmists, (are you offended by the name or not? If so, I can stop using it if you like.), who SHOULD be concerned about those implications probably won't let it interfere with their enjoyment.) |

I guess that settles it then.
And why would Birthers be called another NAME ..."RIDICULOUS .... It just never stops does it Bob. Name calling is no way to win an argument ... It's just a way to make sure it is never resolved.

Didn't think you'd answer my simple yes or no question, Slim.
THAT'S something we can always count on. And sorry, rockwall, the fact that you can't spell American English isn't really my problem. Unless you're living in the UK, the word is "skeptic." But, as I've said, you are NOT a skeptic in the honest sense of the word. BTW, it doesn't bother me at all that you hold an obviously deep-seated dislike for me and will exhibit knee-jerk disagreement with anything I say. But, again, that's your problem, not mine. Have a nice day. |

The word in the UK may be skeptic but that doesn't change the fact that septic aint sceptic.
And you also seem to have a problem with yes or no questions. Are you offended by the term warmist or not? How about AGW proponent? There are lots of ways to point out who you're talking about without them being name calling. |

If I am honest I would have placed money on Payne smoking pot. Doesn't change my view or respect for him in one way or the other. Just interesting how I projected that and totally missed the mark.

What Pop, Bob, Payne, Magnus and all the believers seem to have in common is that they all after a New World Economy, which is the very thing this is all about really.

I think that desire for a New World Economy tends to colour their judgement more than pot or alcohol.

Evidently 300,000 people doesn't rate a mention on any of the Sunday talk shows or CNN. This 19 second video gives you an idea of the size of the People's Climate march:
I, personally, didn't want to attend for this reason, though landmark jr. did.
