Today, I gave the kid helper a lollipop after the routine, and she came straight back up, after opening it, and said: "it's holey" (there were small bubbles in the surface of the boiled sweet.)
I found myself saying, without thinking at all: "Yes it is holy, they sell them in the Vatican.....it's called a 'lolly-pope'". She happily sat down again, as the adults groaned. :) |

That's funny Doug! However, I am not sure the Americans will get it, as I have a feeling they don't use the word "Lollipop" over here. JR

That was quick creative thinking Doug. Everybody loves you for your creativity. Keep up the great work. If I ever to go to the UK to learn and be entertained the same time, you are the first on my list mate.

J.R., 20 years here and you never heard the word lollipop used? It's "sweet" instead of candy that we don't use (although we use the plural "sweets" in a far more general way).

I just don't understand why Potty does not have "VIP" listed under his name from his creativity, talent and skill.

Roger, you must be getting old.....surely, you've heard Shirley Temple singing "On the good ship Lollipop". What a brilliant, precocious child she was....
