Speaking of Rune Klan, he has some good quickie stuff in the November 2009 Magic magazine. Not quick in learning, but quick in performance.

Ironically here, this was a popular package of several Quicky-Tricky effects I put out. Also ironically, it's still available on Vinny's website. I have a different take on Vinny's idea with a cute little "turn" of events at the end, and packaged it with 4 or 5 other little gems for when you want to just hit & run. -Mb

My fav is the coin thru leg described in Bobo.. Really fries the spectators every single time...
Incidentally, I was performing it for a new friend who had just got to know that I can perform magic. In my country, the belief in REAL magic is an easily accepted fact and this is more true in case of my native, Kerala where the number of black magicians is on the rise by the day. I performed the coin thru leg and my friend was so stunned. (Apologies for sounding so boisterous here) He asked me if I can pass it through the table, which I did thanks to the great Roth routine. He next asked me if I can pass it through his legs. I proceed to push it into his knee and to his shock, the coin ust dint come out from the other side and my both hands were unmistakably empty! He started stuttering while asking me if things were still in control and if I can remove it out of his leg. Must have been thinking how on earth is he ever gonna convince a surgeon about this so as to get the coin operated out!!! Fortunately for him, on my next try, I was able to pull out the coin back, much to his relief!!! I actually saw the color return to his pale face!!! Had a lot of such funny moments performing magic for the incredibly gullible here. |

A real Fav is Pocket Passport, just an amazing trick that I recommend to people all the time. Though neither is a "quick trick" so to speak, they are indeed some fun little coin tricks to do. Good list, Mac.

For a real quick trick, I'll do a shortened one coin routine. Start with a production (pre-empt their question to see some magic and this really gets them!), a vanish, spider vanish and final load (wallet if I don't have anything on me). I'll mix in some body loading if I have a bit more time (to back of their hand or shoulder).
If I really don't have much time, I'll just do the french drop. I'm surprised every time about how much of a reaction I get from doing this! I worked hard on it in the past to use it as an example for teaching misdirection to beginners, so there are tons of little subtleties I've put into it to make it the perfect vanish. Make it vanish with a blow to the hand, and it's a real miracle |

For a truly quick trick, it's hard to beat Tenkai Pennies.
It can be followed up with a table version using the Gallo Pitch (same effect, different method). Cheers, Jerry |

After establishing my abilities, I love to take a coin from a small bowl of coins. With short sleeves I toss it into the air. Both hands are
