Michael Ammar's site says he's the exclusive source for them, but they're unavailable to order at the moment.

I don't believe that Ammar sells the chopped version of the Mike Rogers baseballs. It took me years to find my set and I lucked out at that. Good luck Flanagan, you could be in for scavenger hunt.

Honestly Flanagan, I didn't post this to sell you my set. If I had a second set, I would. I was just letting you know that Ammar doesn't sell the chopped version. Whoever is sewing the baseballs for him probably doesn't want to deal with it. I suggest you contact him and inquire if it is possible to add chopped baseballs to his inventory. I'm sure he could sell those easily.

As a side note, there was an inconsistency with the Mike Rogers chopped baseballs that went through my hands. I purchased one set many years ago and the baseballs were too light. Those may have had cork centers. I sold those off and managed to find another set that had the correct weight that the Mike Rogers baseballs are famous for. A friend in magic happened to have a set he was willing to part with. It was totally unplanned.

You're going to have to keep searching, but take consolation that the hunt is part of the fun.

I thought that was the charm of the Mike Rogers baseballs. The fact that they get a darker stain color as they age with use.

Eh....I suppose if they age and stain uniformily, it would be ok. But, still, after using the same ones 3-4 nights a week for 10-12 years....probably time for a fresh set.

I think I have one set, Patrick, as you already know. I'll see if I can find it.

I saw Bruce Cervon do cups and balls at the Castle years ago and he had MR baseballs. They looked like they were made 100 years ago! The white was pretty much gone. Personally, I thought they looked extremely cool and you just knew he had done that trick with those balls many, MANY times.

I can definitely say these are likely going to be hard to come by... I saw a chopped 1" set with some Monti cups on Ebay a year ago... I lost the bid, but spoke with the seller before hand:

He was a a retiring 80+ year old magician, who personally knew Mr. Rogers... That how he got the set (& around 20 years previous...).

If anything, as per Kbuck54 - Stevens Emporium, is an amazing source & if anyone can go through hoops to help you, they will... Some of the best personal service I have had, after asking very specific requests to them - Great staff!

Also, I have some 7/8" balls direct from the Ammar-Magic site - They are quite helpful, & if you have not noticed, they just recently have gotten a FULL restock of the Rogers baseballs (they were O/S for at least a half year I recall)... Since they are now the exclusive for this item... You'll likely get fastest results sending them a contact direct!

Also check the C&B Museum.... There are some other "small baseball" makers out there - But they do cost a pretty penny for the most part.

You may still be able to get baseballs for the cups and balls, both gaffed and normal, from Jedinat in Germany.
