So I bought a MM from Penguin 2 or 3 weeks ago. I asked to 2 different guys to make SURE I had a good one, as I heard these were the best but most of them did not come out right.
They said that they would. I saw that Acar would replace it immediately if it was bad. Got it, it was ****. You could see the secret from meters away. Tried using vegetable oil, sandpaper, breaking it in, NOTHING. Emailed Acar and Chris with pictures, never got an email back in 3 weeks. I have known Penguin to be the best company with the best customer service, but now it's just NO. He promises he will exchange it immediately, and he doesn't even anwser. Contacted Chris, he told me to email it to him, never got back. Come on guys. I am not saying they are bad, I am trying to get their attention as I know they come on here often and they apparently only answer here. PLEASE get this sorted out, You might have thousands of emails, but if you tell me to email you, seconds later you get the email but don't answer in 3 weeks, something's wrong. |

Boy, I'm so sorry I missed your email, Sashac. I've been happily sending replacements to anyone who is not satisfied (as you already know)

Why do penguin send out a product that they no that there is a problem with some of the batch they have. I understand they cant check every one before sending them out,even though they said they will.
So why wont penguin tell their supplier that they are not happy with what they are recieving and are having problems. I want to order one of these my self but I should'nt have to ask to make sure you send me a good one even though penguin are great cutomer service and will replace if you send it them back. But that to me is all time consuming. Hope it gets sorted soon and then I will have the confidence to order Matchbox Mystery. Graham.

It sounds to me as if nobody should be stocking this product at all. Great that Penguin is endeavouring to keep everyone happy, but surely there is a major manufacturing issue, no?

Hey guys, got an email from Penguin, saying they shipped a good one again. Thanks guys for the great customer service, I can understand if the email got lost, it just seemed a little weird that Chris never answered..
Thanks again! It got shipped to the wrong address though, so have to sort that out! |

He missed my email too.
And ignorance is the worst stance any professional could have. I swear to God I will never ever buy anything from them. They simply like to show good professionalism here on public but our emails go down the drain. IMHO... |

I'd just like to add that after many many orders, Penguin is the most consistent for me. I've never had a problem of any type. Because of that, Penguin is the place I look first to order.
Only once I asked a question via e-mail. I had a response within 24 hours. |

Yes, go to the best website dealer on the Internet, http://www.tricksupply.com is the very best. He will tell you if something is junk, just ask. Even does price matching.

Bill Hegbli, thanks for the comment. Penguin is by far (in my eyes and in the eyes of thousands) the best shop with the best customer service, but let's not start a fight about this. They have exclusives on most products, their international shipping is fantastic and at an affordable price.

Danny Orleans Magic has this effect listed on his site as "Magic Alchemy". However, it's presently out of stock. I believe you'll find that this is a better made product. You could PM Danny here at The Café. He's a member. |

I purched Matchbox illusion by Rob stiff, from Saturn magic, perfect block no worries of anything being seen under examination even under a magnifying glass( Literally ) as good as any other reputable matchbox mystery,penetration etc etc.Could not believe how perfect mine was.

I had a similar experience:
I bought m/m and the one I got was definitely not inspectable as advertised. I wrote a review and without ever contacting penguin I got a very kind E-mail. In the end we were able to solve the issue and I am very happy with penguins customer service (as I have always been!). Therefore I will stick with the penguin. |

For those of you looking for the Original Cerrilas Bloque/Matchbox Penetration with the thick gold bar, I am working with a company who has purchased the rights to the effect. They are now being made in the US and will be available after Aug 1, 2015. You can order them from me. Wow. $125.00 for this. I got a thick gold bar for $35-$40 and it works and fools the audience. Wonder why this is so expensive? Industrial Revelation was not even this expensive. Can anybody shed some light?
