Actually it is not as bad as the topic heading might have you think.
Here is a link to the local Blackpool newspaper. http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/news/l......-6435797 The whole of the UK, especially the south (Blackpool is in the north) has had a series of storms over the last six weeks and some areas have had severe flooding, though there is no mention of any flooding in Blackpool, where the promenade has been rebuilt and strengthened over the last few years to help prevent flooding. While the storms have been a problem, our weather has been no where near as drastic as the cold and snow in the US. |

Yes there has been damage here in pembrokeshire but mainly just to the buildings and sea defences really closeto the beaches . the sea is less than a mile from my house but no damage phil

It will take much, much more than that to put a dampner on The Blacpool Convention.
There is still a few more days to go and it really is not as bad as it appears on the TV. Blackpool is in the North and most of the flooding is down South. Blackpool won't get flooded as Derek Lever won't let it ! Knowing Derek he's probably out and and about making sure that things stay on track for the convention. In any case, you can't have a Blackpool convention without a bit of bad weather so don't let anything put you off though it might be a good idea to bring a boat with you just in case LOL Stuart.
