I was trying to think of some interesting final load ideas for the C&B, and my wife came up with one I think is fantastic. For the final load use those russian nesting dolls and have the smallest "doll" in them be the balls used throughout the routine. Wanted to share it with everyone. Thoughts?

Great concept! I went through it in my mind, and I think after ONE doll was disassembled to reveal a ball, the other two would be anticlimactic. Instead, how about the outer cups have standard type large solid object loads. Then the center cup reveal a nesting doll with all three balls inside. You would only get one or two nests in order to stay big enough for all three, but still a nice surprise!
I had also thought of a little "gift" box with 3 balls inside, for those looking to save cost. And you can find gift and jewelry boxes that are cylindrical. Another funny I've considered: make a little tin can with a pop off lid. Print up a funny label like "Can O' Balls" and produce a can filled with little balls or multicolored balls. Anyway, very creative and kudos to your wife! My wife would just say "get these silly things off my table". Haha

That's an excelent point Stephon. I really like the "Can O' Balls". I think there's some creative expansion to be done.

Agree. Maybe a "spring snake" and then dump the balls out and say..."ah, snake droppings!" Haha

Haha, it's not often I can try to give the spectators a heart attack in a show. I don't believe the cheap-o economy cups I have will support a spring snake though. Still I really like what you have there.

Was thinking more in terms of the joke shop "snake in a can" that usually says mixed nuts or something. Could modify that can's labeling. I don't think it would elicit a full blown heart attack...no worse than "the web"! Haha!
Also, I used to think it would be neat to finish by placing the cups over each ball, then a small paper bag over each cup (to create a kind if 'test condition') them lift each cup/bag off to show shiny metal balls instead of the crocheted balls. Then lift each bag to show the cups now covered in crochet like the balls once were. I know, weird.

That's brilliant. That's golden. I love it.

Check "Cups and Balls Magic" by Tom Osborn. It gives details of how to load spring-loaded production items.
