I've said this before, but Liam is my all time favorite card magic creator. All of the material he puts out is extremely practical, usually easy, and extremely hard hitting. I use many of his effects on a regular basis.

Surely the download should be a little cheaper than the DVD

I'd do the download but share the same criticism.

Even if it is a few $ cheaper for a download....With something like this that is more than a single effect, I'm trying to understand why anyone would want a download. If you want to go back and watch the area for a Strike double or whatever, with a dvd menu you can go right to it instead of searching around. Until downloads start coming with a document with timestamps for each section I don't see the positives. Im not picking on anyones preference just really trying to get an understanding, what am I missing? |

A book is even easier. You just open it. You don't even need electricity.

Does anyone here own both Liam Montier's "The Double Lift Project" and Gregory Wilson's "Double Take"? How would you compare them? Which one do you prefer in terms of becoming proficient in the sleight and in terms of effects?

Hi chaps!
It's been a little while since I saw 'Double Take' but the projects are pretty different. Mine is less of an 'encyclopaedia' of techniques, but rather focusses on the ones I consider essential, and the ones that I think you would use in most situations. Running time is similar, and all the tricks taught are totally different as well. The main similarity would be in covering the get ready techniques, as there are only so many, but aside from that, it's two different looks at the same topic I hope that helps, and you can always drop me a line with any questions etc. Cheers, Liam. |
