So I looooooooove Danny's rope on baroniantrading.com
Unfortunately, he only does white. His 15mm rope is what I use for stage.
I'm looking for something that size (and feel, if possible) in blue.
Anyone have suggestions?
Thanks

Cotton Rope can be dyed. Just go to the grocery store and buy some Rite Dye. To make it more permanent just put a couple tablespoons of white Vinegar in the dye solution. You can make a wire jig from a metal coat hanger to dip the rope in and out till you get the blue you want. Do it in a large pan on the stove.
You can use professional fabric dye as well, do a search in the silk section on dyeing silks. Or Google Silk Fabric Dye, there is large website that sells silk dye and gives very good detailed instructions on dyeing silk, be the same for dyeing rope. If you don't want to settle, dyeing yourself is the only solution. They do sell colored rope, some come with sponge core and some no care at all, but no choice on the diameter. |

Sorry guys, I wish could carry different colors. But I have 4 styles of rope, if I stock 100 spools of each, that's already 400 spools. If I add 3 colors to each type, I would need room to stock 1200 more spools...I just am not capable of doing that at this point in time.....

Not sure blue rope would show up well on stage.

I was thinking the same thing. Blue is one of the hardest colors to light.

If I was using a colored rope on stage,it would be yellow, not blue. Yellow shows up well on stage.
Having said that, my personal preference is a white rope, and I would recommend the thickest white rope that you can comfortably handle. White rope looks less suspicious than colored rope to laymen. |

Which is why I only sell white rope.... I have some red/burgundy of the BTC2 if anyone is interested. I had made it some for someone before I got more hen they needed. Its only 9-10 spools. Make a decent offer and its yours.
