Got mine. I was nervous because after I purchased, I realized the site didn't have many reviews or products. The customer service was great.

It's got a lot of great thinking in it. He really pushes dual reality in one routine and ends up with about 9 realities making it impossible to figure out how it was done from an audience perspective.

I have seen Luke perform many of these and they are very strong. The descriptions provided above provide enough information. As in any set of routines, there will be a way to mold them to your own style of performance. His principles are sound in these routines. Lots of scope for variation.

As Todd shared above, I've seen Luke perform several of these carefully selected pieces both in his paid shows, full evening program and high end formal engagements as well as out and about the town casually and sharing a "special something" with perfect strangers and new friends during impromptu and unplanned performances with exceptional results and huge reactions. These routines and techniques are the exact ones that Luke goes back to when it matters, what pays the bills for him as a performer and what he feels is something worthwhile enough to offer when time is short but the need for strong mentalism and insanely powerful feats of mind reading are still needed or desired...and, as Luke suggests, works equally well in the context of a close up casual performance all the way to professional grade stage and parlor work for the big bucks. Based on what we do know, these are 3 routines broken up into and taught via 6 essays and which Luke has expanded on and taught here in its full form, as a collective trio, and after a decade of practical experience actively working with the pieces, routines, effects and techniques being offered. It sounds good to me (!). What's more is Luke isn't going to be bothered by your decision (or anyone else's) to not purchase this. He's not writing and selling these things to make money or generate a great income for himself, believe me - he works more than most full time performers I know and he's paid extremely well for it by applying the very same utility tools, techniques and pet material that he's contributing here. For $20.00, knowing Luke and having seen him rock the house with these very same pieces in a variety of settings, gaining access to another decade+ of his practical working knowledge and performance experience with the 3 routines in question, that it's an ebook and easy for one to access, which, even at just 40 pages, is still a major feat and an enormous accomplishment that takes a lot of personal time and additional effort to make possible, makes this a no-brainer for me. I can think of infinitely worse ways and tons of crappy, untested material produced by rookies, amateurs, arm chair experts and mentalism's knob-gobblers you can spend $20.00 of your hard earned cash on...and you'll even be given a description when it comes time to purchase! ;) Excited to finally read this, Jerome

Jerome,
I'm not frustated. The material from Luke is great, I bought a lot. But that is the problem, without discription I don't know what I have. Trough AllenChilver I Know two of the routines I already know and I read the Genii for years. But my remarks meant essentially the newest wonder that I must have and I can't find a discription and I don't know the author. Mainly this authors try to bluff to get 10 or 20 dollars for crap and for me that is money for nothing (I like the Dire Straits). |

"Dirty Secret Club" is THE BEST routine published by Luke to date. I am already adapting it for closeup. I think it is equivalent to Bob Cassidy's 4DT in the aspect of getting to close as possible to real mind reading.

Old Faithful
=========== A spectator is invited to write the name of their oldest school friend and their phone number onto a card. A second spectator is invited to draw a picture and think of an "arty" title for it. The cards are folded and a third spectator mixes them and chooses one. The other card is destroyed. The performer correctly divines the name of the schoolfriend on the folded card but misses the phone number by one digit. TO make up for it he accurately reproduces the picture on the other card. This sounds a lot like Bob Cassidy's "Name and Place" effect... Any relation? |

It's not the same method and it is not the same presentation.
With Luke's routine you can reveal 3 things. |

It is similar but not the same method (at least not the one performed and taught in "mental miracles" by Bob Cassidy.
With the method performed in "mental miracles" you could not reveal the telephone number. The justification for parts of the method is different. Feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong about this. But again : it is a bargain. "the dirty secret club" could have sold for 20 bucks and would still be a great deal. Same with the "living/dead" test. I'm glad I bought this |

Wow I loved this little book.....I went in thinking it was not gong to be that great and I was blown away.
j100taylor....I can see how you say its the same...but in my opinion its very different, it has a diferent presentation, a different execution different justification for actions and you reveal three things. I guess you could say in its barest of bones its bob cassidy's yet there is so much else to learn in likes.....no fire (lol) I know you don't really need fire for bobs. |
