Hey all,

I'm working on an illusion which will (hopefully) involve repositioning bits of paper on a drawing board. To do that I need an adhesive that's weak enough that I can reposition it quickly(without peeling it off) but strong enough that the paper thing's don't fall off under their own weight.

Any suggestions?

There are several repositionable adhesives (glue sticks, sprays and dots) available. Check office supply stores. Depending on what you are doing with this, another option might be to use thin, printable magnetic sheets cut to size, along with a board designed to hold them.

I'm guessing that you want to slide them around. Michael's magnet idea is a good one.

"What's a good sticky thing?"
A twig !!
In all seriousness though. What Michael said. Though I would be inclined to lean towards the 3M scotch brand.

The one glue that Anthony Owen sells. Zig Memory System 2 way glue Kuretake (Made in Japan). It's blue and then it's become invisible like on a stick-notes.

"What's a good sticky thing"? According to Ronnie Montrose, it's Rock Candy! I doubt it will work for you but I could not resist throwing it out there! Back in the '70s Montrose claimed it (she) is hard, sweet & sticky! Smile

Sorry to do that, but I could not resist. My band used to play that song and it just popped into my mind. Michael seems to have had the real answer for you so I just wanted to have a little old school fun!

Thanks for the reminder! I got to see Montrose play in Birmingham back in the 70's. If I recall, it was a shared a bill with Foghat.

WOW! I would have liked to have been there! I liked both those bands. My band covered several Foghat songs also.

Don't forget about the old standby... Magician's Wax or 100% Pure filtered beeswax.
