Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can learn a flourish like the one Calen Morelli does in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htz8jf0-WIQ It doesn't necessarily have to be the same flourish as long as it looks similar. Thanks! |

Watching the video, I haven't seen that anywhere else, but there's a lot of basic stuff that goes into it. What's your experience with flourishes? A lot of the stuff Calen did you can begin learning in Andrei Jikh's Genesis volumes. Somebody in the youtube comments mentioned that the slow motion card levitation is explained in Calen's Penguin Live Lecture. Otherwise, I would suggest downloading the video and then playing it over and over in slow motion, following along with a deck of cards. That's pretty much the most common way to learn longform flourishes like this. Good luck

The flourish is just a combination of things. The foundation of it would be from Dan and Dave's flourishes.

This is a lot closer to the Virts flourishes than D&D. A lot of single card control/presentation. Something similar and free by the Virts on youtube would be the Icarus Sequence:

Calen Morelli's flourish is the closest to a flourish I have seen call the Icarus Sequence by The Virts. You can learn it on their website as a starting point.
