I too am a member of FCM uk. We had a terrific convention in Feb with Barry Mitchell as our guest. He was very inspirational I, and I know many others received a great blessing.

I haven't been a member since '85, I think, but I am sending my re-application off tomorrow.

The Christian Conjuror, or whatever it's called now, used to be worth the price of membership, hope it still is.

There's no FCM' in NC either, at least that I can find, and that's strange, as I keep stumbling across Christian Magicians in the area. Guess I need to join and find out how to start a Group, or at least find the closest one to me.

I've been a member for a few years now.

It struck me as tragic that there is no FCM chapter in or near the Nations Capitol. I'm in Virginia about 30 south of Wash., D.C.

I've contacted the FCM about starting a chapter in this area.

If you're interested (MD, DC, VA, perhaps PA, DE, WVA, TN), drop me a line. We only need 6 FCM members to start a new chapter.

Thanks.

I've been a member for seven years now. We started a chapter here in Anderson, Indiana two years ago. We are now trying to get an Indianapolis Chapter chartered. FCM has allowed me to bounce ideas off of people who understood what I was going for. It is just what I needed.

I've been involved with FCM for a few years now. I finally became a card carring member about 5 or 6 years ago. I attended the 2002 and 2003 conventions. I hope to attend again in 2005. Great folks! I saw the 'Living Illusions'... *FANTASTIC*! The Flom Family is always SO CREATIVE!!!!!!! *APPLAUSE* Its a great time. IF you ever get the chance attend one of them.

BTW BroDavid... I was born in Akron! Pass through there on my way to Marion, Indiana.

Dear Family,
Greetings in the name of JESUS. This is my first post. I only found this site two days ago. I have been a member of FCM for 3 years now. I live in central New Jersey and belong to IBM # 123 Middletown,N.J.
We have a FCM chapter in south Jersey, near Philly. I've called once before, but none seem to be active in Gospel Magic Ministry.
I have been doing Magic as a hobby for about 5 years now. Never really got serious about it because, up until today I've been an trucker for the last 29.5 years...... Mucho O.T. , so never really had the TIME. Just got the word my company is shutting down next week......
Well this it for today..........Love & Peace SonSHINE

Pastor Clyde,

Let me know when you are coming through, I am only a couple of minutes off of the expressways (80/76/224) so if you come through this part of Ohio, let me know. You can take a rest stop, and I will buy breakfast or lunch, or whatever for you.

You can call my cell phone (330) 328-6879

God Bless

My application to join FCM sits on my desk right now. Scheduled mail date Tuesday April 6. I am looking forward to getting involved in FCM. I have been doing gospel magic for 23 years and have yet to join. I am taking the family to Marion this year for vacation and will be attending the convention. I am looking so forward to meeting and sharing with others who glorify the Lord through magic.

Does anyone know what there is to to in Marion or the surrounding area that my family might enjoy while I attend the confrence?

Greetings,
I am new to the Magic Café...just wanted to say "Blessings upon you All."

I have been a member of FCM for 4 years now. There is one chapter in south Jersey, but they meet on Monday night and that is out of the question for me (I have a full time job).

I have been playing around with Magic for the past 5 years (never gotten paid) just for family and friends; Then it happened. I broke my leg in 3 places:dancing: Romans 8/28 I was out of work for 5 months, so with time on my side, I got back into the Magic.

I joined a Local IBM ring # 123, which meets in Middletown,N.J. The BEST part is that we meet once a month in "King of Kings" Church. The president is a member of the church, and we put on a show once a year, for allowing us to use their fellowship hall. Nobody there is doing "Gospel Magic." I am the only interested in that venue.

My heart is in leading lost souls to the KING. May He Bless my Ministry
Yours By His Grace...Smile SonSHINE

Welcome friend SonSHINE!

Nice to have you join use here.

This forum is the next best thing to a local FCM meeting. So you show get some information, advice and encouragement here. But it still isn't the same as getting toether with like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ to jam and even perform publicly together.

Our local FCM just booked a show at a local coffee house outreach center for young folks. And we really have something for everyone, as we all have different styles and perfroming personnas. In addition, as Shadow reminded me recently, we each have a different calling too. I am a planter, and I start the shows, then Shadow waters, and WhoDanni (a youth pastor) brings in the crop. So the differences really work together well.

I will pray for your ministry in reaching souls. And remember that if God called you to do it, even if nobody else is doing it with you, you are never alone in His presence.

God Bless!

BroDavid

I had no idea such an organizaion existed. I'm so excited to learn about this and can't wait to join and meet some of you.

It's interesting because for the longest I thought Christians looked down on magic on account of the supossed link to the occult.

After performing any of my most mind boggling effects my brother still jokes that I must be some kind of demon (I'm trying to change that and say no I'm an angel).

It's good to see that Christians are not as closed minded as I thought.

Can't wait to join you all and proudly proclaim my membership and faith.

Eryanic and Alex Wong,

I'm in Indonesia and don't have a FCM chapter too.
How about making a South East Asia, FCM Chapter.
And make a chapter meeting via internet?
Just a thought. Smile

Hi Budihaha, I'm currently trying to link up with people over here. I'm not sure if we could start a regional South East Asia chapter. But we could look into it. Do email me at limgs@singnet.com.sg lets see if we can work something out.

BTW, there is a Malaysia FCM, and they are organising a conferencing this coming auguest if I'm not wrong. Smile

God Bless.

I've been a member of The Fellowship of Christian Magicians for a little over five years now.
I very much enjoy reading their magazine The Christian Conjuror, it has a lot of great ideas and can be very inspiring, especially after a hard day working at The Magic Café. Smile

I have only been doing tricks for a few months. Now I take a small show into schools and small church groups I am a full time youth and childrens worker in South Wales, working for a church. The main aim of my show at the moment is to raise awareness of the work I do in Romaina with street children. I am hopping to do a street show for the children in Romaina at the end of this year, if anyone would like to help... by donating ideas or tricks then please let me know.
God Bless you all.

I'm not a member yet but plan to become one. The Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers Conference falls on the same week this year so I will miss out on the magic.

Dear all,

I am a Singaporean and very keen in starting a FCM chapter in the region. Eryanic and Alex Wong, do you guys have the same stirring in your heart?

Btw, are there anyone out there who have started a chapter in your region or are also looking to start one up too? It would be great to have discussions abt it.

God Bless!

Magically,
SuperDave

Are there any members in the UK on this board?

I've been wondering if there is place in the FCM for me, as I work in the "mentalism" arena; nothing spooky mind you but I've wondered what the reaction would be to a book test or a word/number/design presiction, or even a headline prediction made weeks prior to the show?

Is it easier to pull a rabbit out a hat than to "see" in ones mind the three of spades or the colour "red"?

I've been enjoying my membership. The magazine is most helpfull for new idaes and to keep up to date on what is going on in the FCM community. It also makes finding books on gospel magic much easier.
