Hello -

I am looking for quite a simple piece:

A thin [flat] piece of metal in the shape of a rectangle (2.5cm x 4.5cm) that is attracted to a magnet.

Ed Massey used to bring Jim Swoger his prototypes made from tin cans. Of course, that was during the war so metal was scarce.

Go to a sheet metal shop. That's the least expensive way if you can't make it yourself.

If you can get to a hobby shop you might find a piece that is thin enough to cut with a good pair of scissors.
