I just picked this up, probably bitten by the usual bug that infects most neophytes in the quest for the most magic for the least work. Just a couple of brief observations.
The built in UCCU (i.e., hold-out) capacity is awesome and easy to use. I can think of lots of applications already, not counting the suggestions already on the accompanying video. Card to wallet, card to envelope, holding out a card while the spec shuffles, holding out gaffs or duplicates until needed--lots of applications here. It's a great gizmo and I think it is worth the price for that alone. The coin ditch aspect is another matter. I am not a coin man, and there is no free lunch here--it will take a lot of practice to do the ditch (in any of the various suggested ways) with smoothness and accuracy. Also, this gimmick is a good incentive to slim down. A chubby guy like me has a bit of a gut that may get in the way of the aperture to receive the coin, which, for maximum deception, should be kept as narrow as possible. Also, the Plinka system just doesn't "flow" as well if a belly is in the way, and the thing just doesn't sit as well under the clothes unless one is svelter. Set up is easy, but I wish they packed sturdier safety pins. DVD is very good and online access to extra materials is much appreciated. Keen to learn of others' experience with this. Les |

Thanks for this, it answers some of my questions especially the "guy with a gut" variable.

If the TKO were not presented with all of the fancy coin ditches and emphsized the ability to be used as a holdout it may have been a bigger hit. Add a silk and you can vanish or appear a variety of items. It was at first presented as an alternative to a topit, but stopped at standard coins and cards. Think beyond those two items.

I am primarily a card guy who really liked its potential as holdout--if you are a right-handed male of average build who does street or walk-around stuff in casual dress the gimmick is great for that--but I splurged the extra few bucks on this over the basic UCCU the hopes that I could learn to use it to ditch other things that interest me. I do see the potential--for sponge balls, other small objects, a TT. Yeah, thinking outside the box is important here, because the use of the gimmick is presented pretty narrowly. Regrettably, I don't think the device is much use for certain performers, such as most women, many lefties, anyone performing in semiformal or formal dress (a neck-tie or vest would interfere), and anyone so chubby that the item just doesn't rest loosely enough for easy access. Still, I do think I will get plenty of enjoyment out of it, and I suspect a working magician who used it successfully a few times would consider it a reasonable business cost. It is one of the most expensive magic items I have recently bought (second only to my complete collection of Simon Aronson's books) and so far I have no regrets. But I can see the limitations. Anyone really tight on money would probably want to invest in books or a couple of bricks of cards instead. Les |

Thanks, Poof. I splurged on the full outfit (black and white with DVD and accessories), so I really want to get my money's worth. It is nice to read a ringing endorsement. I will be on the look-out for a loose fitting straight cut shirt or two, and will practice. I really want to get the coin move down. The card stuff is relatively easy and I am looking forward to trying it out with normal humans.
That said, I still want to slim down Les |

I have 2 nice short sleeve button downs pre rigged. One is red and white checkered and the other black and grey checkered. Usually wear them untucked over a white or black t-shirt. The device comes out quickly when washing the shirts. Cargo shorts or pants are a great addition (for the extra pocket space) and make a very casual look even though you are "suited up".
I would say the TKO 2.0 and my Web Spinner are the 2 best utility devices I have bought in years.
