It comes in red so that the burnt edges show up.

...what is the motive for having someone think of a symbol and then it burning through the deck?

who is doing the magic and how/why are they doing it?

That's what I like about Sankey's work. It gets you thinking.

I can't be expected to do everyone's thinking for them!

As it happens I do have a scoop up my sleeve about an exciting release from one of my favourite magicians (no, it's not Sankey but I'll give you a clue - His first name begins with the letter J). I'll choose my moment when to make the announcement. x

just after its announced on their facebook page or the mass email gets sent round then...

this effect though, I've tried to understand what is going on - but its one of those ones that is confusing in the sense that because its basically mental magic, the 'story' changes paths several times throughout the effect...

If it was a new release by a Mr J. Sadowitz then I'd do a naked hula-hula dance down the bloody road. But I think the citizens of E5 are safe for now...

Bugger. But no surprises there.

I'll be spectating next weekend when he takes to the stage. That bloke slayed me last time. Have you seen him do the dice thing? The people all around me were just gobsmacked.

Well, I'm safe then.

First show I saw was pure comedy, and I'd go back to see that, screw the magic. However, as a purely nominal 'magician' it is a treat to be completely fooled by a brilliant practitioner such as he is. I've reviewed these shows in various online fora, but without any specifics in the case of gags or magic.

If he chucked someone like myself out of a show, it would be weird and very disappointing. Perhaps it is hearsay?

I'm interested... But $55 seems a bit steep

I have this, and I can say that based on the props, this is NOT too expensive. It would cost you as much to buy the props you would need, before you even modify them. You are basically getting the DVD and the labor to create the props for free. I'm sure he got a volume discount on the props he had to purchase to make this, but the price is really very low for what you get.

I was not disappointed.

The way I look at is ID costs $7.50

This costs $55

To the layman does the overall effect look anymore impressive !

Yes, it does.

Totally different premise.

Emotional engagement.

Multi-layered presentation nullifying outs along the way.

In a word, outstanding.

A simple test that I have adopted when purchasing magic is, how impressive is the performer. If they don't perform themselves, does anybody decent perform their effects.

Of course it's all subjective but from this we have the obvious big names like

Of course it's all subjective but from this we have the obvious big names like Regal and Ammar.

The slightly less famous but who show personality and ability would be for me the likes of Houchin, Miller (yes Miller !!!), Francis,Carbone and a few others whose names escape me at the moment.

Sankey doesn't engage me. I find his presentation lacklustre and at times , like with this effect, confusing. The fact that he seemingly raids hardware stores to flog his latest "insane" idea just emphasises for me that these are "tricks" not magic.

Not for me .

I recently got this and I like it.

There's more involved than just an ID and its a clever approach.

I don't like a lot the patter he used in the trailer, but you can adapt this to your style easily.

With that said, $55 was too much for what you get... don't know where he came up with that number, but $40 would have been the sweet spot for this effect.

Anyone still using this?

Curious if it goes over very well?

I really love the idea, but I don't know if its too long for people to follow or not?

Thoughts?
