So I just learned David Grist's Alien. I love the fact that you can make an entire body with feet and hands with just one balloon. I haven't bought the alien print heads yet but am planning to add it to my first menu. The one he made was using a green balloon for the body. I just noticed that you can get metallic silver 260's. I have only bought the variety packs for practice so far so I wasn't completely aware of the wide range of colors available. So am I right in thinking silver would look much better than green? I am figuring on doing line work gigs to start so while I am trying to keep my balloons simple I also want to do what I can to make them as appealing as possible. Thanks for your imput.

Silver can be a bit stiffer and harder to work with to start with. They are great, but I have found (probably more so in the AZ heat) them to be more temperamental.

I'm not at all a fan of silver... it's actually so transparent that it looks like a shiny clear balloon. Dark purple is actually a really good color for the alien's body if you don't want him to be naked. I know the naked alien thing bothers some people... I actually think it looks kinda cool
Also, FWIW, they have different assortments so that you can try out other colors. The Carnival Assortment is the standard, rainbow colors assortment. The Tropical assortment has a bunch of different, funky shades that are cool to play with. And the character assortment has all the browns, blacks, etc. for doing character balloons. My only gripe with the character assortment is that Chocolate Brown and Black look nearly identical uninflated, so I would never use that assortment long term... but if you're really new and just trying to play around with a lot of colors it can be a great way to start

Oh - and one more thing about the alien heads... Continental Sales sells exclusive bags of Rose alien heads. You can get Rose alien heads in the assortment, but Lorinda from Continental Sales did a run of all Rose bags. I REALLY recommend carrying these
