When trapped in a flood Aussies take a few minutes out to find a crocodile for dinner.
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.--Yeats |

Great post, my favourite was The Carnival Is Over, her voice is as good as it ever was.
By failing to prepare, we are preparing to fail.

I love their music - there's just something about their sound.
They came into a theme park where I performed in the nineties when they were on tour but unfortunately Judith Durham had retired for the second or third time and they were using a woman known at the time as Australia's Sweetheart and predictably she was the biggest ***** on the planet - dressed in a huge white hat and big round sunnies like some has been 50's Hollywood movie star pretending she didn't want anyone to recognise her and talking at the top of her voice so that everyone would. Not being as tolerant as I am now I'm older I made a point of mentioning during the snake show that the snake I was holding maybe deadly poisonous but at least it was quuiet. Funny thing is the week before we'd had Guns and Roses - Axl + Slash in the park for hours and they'd been the most polite decent genuine people you could ever meet - the contrast was amazing. |

still as pretty as she always was. With a golden voice. "500 miles" has to be her best recording track ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAqL1OC7GIU |
