I keep seeing these things at mall kiosks. They're black leather (a plus in my book), and are basically worn exactly like a shoulder holster for a firearm. I'm hesitant to pull the trigger (no pun intended-lol) however, because I'm just not sure of what all I could fit in there, or if it would end up being too bulky once stuffed.
Looks like I'll have to take my "bag 'o tricks" up to the mall and find out first hand. I'll let you know how it goes and post pics if anyone's interested. |

In Texas no problem. If they see that in NYC it probably would make people nervous.

In Alabama, as a kid I remember old men with them for their "pocket pistol". They sure looked like flasks to me!

Just a heads up, I am not allowed to share the site yet as it is not done but should be in the next day or two. There is a company that will be selling special holsters just for the magician. I can tell from what I have seen these will be the perfect thing for all the magicians that want to get rid of the bulge in there jacket. It is top quality and will be the best on the market. Once it is all up and done in a couple of days I will post the link. I personally am waiting on mine which I will also have in a day or two and I will give a review of it at that point. But the ones I have seen are a true gem and will be found in many magicians acts as it is practical and really perfect.

I use a sholder holster to carry my wallet and some small walk aroud things in. The ONLY problem I had was when I was pulled over by a cop. I just left my hands on the steering wheel, in plain sight, and explained that I had my wallet with the drivers licence in a "sholder holder" and that I will take it out very slowly with 2 fingers. He watched me with caution but didn't do anything. After he looked at my licence and insurance card he reamed my tuchie out for speeding and told me not to do it again or he would write me up, oh and from now on wear my seat belt."
Other than the one time I have never had a problem. I got mine from ebay for $18. Peter |

One might check out Bianchi Leather products. They make leather wear for weapon carrying people, including magazine (that's "clips" for those of you who don't know better) holders that attack to shoulder rigs. These can be useful for various props, depending on what you want to put into them.
However, I would check with a gunshop that stocks them instead of relying on an online merchant, simply so that you can make sure that the item will fit properly. Another solution, for less formal events and for the street workers is a photographer's vest. Good photography supply shops carry them and they run about $65US. I use one a lot and it carries quite a bit, including: an original Rings N Things Chop Cup a full sized close up pad, 3 decks of cards, my wand a set of Adams Chinese Sticks, the final loads for the chop cup my Okito coin box, my business cards cell phone car keys wallet Glorpy 6 sets of paper hat tears a stack of index cards pen thru anything set ITR (when I want to carry one) color changing knives (w/smash knife climax) and ALL of this stuff is readily accesssible! First off I am sorry for the late responce, Yes I did recieve mine and I am 100 percent happy with it. I use it 3 times a week, and have never in my life used a tool like this. It really makes a big differnce when it comes to the bulge, in fact it is GONE. Also the fact that I can carry about 3 hours of close up magic with this thing is crazy. The quality is top notch, and it is all hand made which makes it even better. Like I have said this was made by a magician for magicians and the one who makes it uses it in all his close up shows so that says a lot. Here is a link, before all of you freek out about the price keep in mind that this is high quality leather, and that this is a major project just to make one of them. There is a lot work and detail in this product. If you guys have any questions I suggest contacting the creator of it. Also check out there wands. They are also very nice and very unique looking.

Everything is easy to find and get a hold of. Of course you need to remember where everything is but once you have that down it is as easy as pie. I really think for the pros it is a very good investment. In fact I am thinking of getting a second one for my stage show. And Have it custom made for the things I use during my stage act. Not sure yet but I am thinking about it.

I just ordered one of the shoulder holsters and was having some problems at check out. The only thing I can say right now is if the product is as good as the customer service, it is going to be AWESOME! I will also give a review as soon as I receive it. It will most likely be some time next week, so stay tuned!!!

The HCM Holster is MOST DEFINETLY worth it! Very well made and once you get it adjusted very comfortable. Used it for the first time last night and now I don't know how I got along without it. I still use my pockets for some items, but that is by choice, not necessity.
