If it is the same effect, I recently taught this SCLS effect to my 8-YO granddaughter and she really really likes this trick. And, as a bonus (and without realizing it), she is learning to perform math functions in her head. (grin) For this effect, I also taught her three mnemonics that she instantly learned and uses with this effect. (And, she keeps in practice by she and I mentally (i.e., without using cards) performing both the effect's methodology and our scripted presentation over the phone...or in the car while we are in transit to a destination.) If you are careful to keep the SCLS effect from looking procedural, this can be a killer effect. This is probably my favorite impromptu effect to perform at a party when I'm asked to "do something; show us some magic", etc. SCLS can be performed with a borrowed shuffled incomplete deck...a deck you never touch throughout the entire routine! And, to top it off, the audience really likes the trick's premise (i.e., To a series of questions, for each question they are told "You can lie or tell the truth"). SCLS. Properly presented, this cam be a very entertaining effect indeed. All the foregoing is just IMHO, your mileage may vary...and probably does. (grin)

I will say that this DVD (and the other 2 volumes) changed my way of thinking when it comes to hard hitting magic. I do love the move monkey stuff a good bit, but some of the effects, if not all, really hit hard. The way the tricks are performed don't have the "self-working" feel to them. They truly look like miracles and aren't boring continuous counting forever.
You WILL find an effect on this DVD that you will immediately use! |

Superb DVD full of hard hitting material !
I have something of an obsession with various flavors and guises of the Clock Trick. David Solomon's Casino Clock featured on the DVD is an epic effect ! |
