LA has dug themselves into some pretty deep holes and a combination of hard work and lucky bounces has helped them to climb out. We're not watching the same LA intensity that beat the 'Hawks. And for whatever my predictions are worth, I expect the Kings to hoist the cup tonight.

I'm not one to believe in luck is all, so that's where the funny was.
Digging a deep hole and getting out of it to me sounds even more impressive. Mental fortitude and all. |

Those Kings do have a sense of the dramatic, eh?

Kings prevail in King fashion! Loves me some overstimes!
This years finals have been so very entertaining, thank you Hockey, thank you Rangers, and thank you Kings. I put luck and gods in the same category, nonexistent. Stuff happens but I'll need a little more evidence before I'll give credit to either. |

To start with any would be nice.

Now how did I know that the answer of any would be rejected?

Silvercup: How about a thought experiment. S2000 invites the both of us to dinner. He then tosses a coin. If it's heads sivercup gets a fabulous 7-course meal with Mr. and Mrs. S2000 and Eisengrim gets hay with the horses. If it's tails then Eisengrim gets a fabulous 7-course meal with Mr. and Mrs. S2000 and silvercup gets hay with the horses.
What other than luck (and a weird setup) gives one of us the preferable meal?

Testimony is evidence.
So that brings us back to S2000's question to you: What sort of evidence would be sufficient for you?

You seem to think that since the universe is deterministic, that good luck and bad luck don't exist. That's a non sequitur. There's nothing mystical about luck. But good and bad things happen to us for reasons completely out of our control.
