I've posted a new free tutorial on how to quickly create a month calendar for months and years as far back as 45 B.C.!: http://gmmentalgym.blogspot.com/2014/05/......#cmintro
It turns out that the following 3 approaches, when careful attention is paid to the mathematics, come together to form a simple, yet powerful, approach to calendar calculation: • E. Rogent's and W.W. Durbin's “How to find the day of the week on which any particular date falls”: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=99 • Bob Goddard's "First Sunday Doomsday Algorithm": http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=99 • My own "Day One": http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=15 To help you learn this approach more quickly and effectively, I've also created a quiz page for practicing each step, as well as the feat as a whole: http://gmmentalgym.blogspot.com/2014/05/......uiz.html At the bottom of each tab, I've also tried to include credits and details about the original source of each part of the tutorial, for those who are interested in further research. Any questions or comments on this tutorial? |

LOL
You're welcome. When I put this approach together, I found it to be simpler to learn and use than anything I'd come across in calendar calculation before. I hope you find it useful! |
