While awaiting the arrival of The Code in the mail I decided to look at some reviews. They are totally absent from here. One is listed in google search but when you click on the link it says the thread doesn't exist. I would have thought the number two effect of the year would have a review. I assume its absence has something to do with the controversial voting this year. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

I could be wrong, but I think there was a lot of method tipping leaking from the topic. That could be why it was removed.

I would consider that a good reason to remove it, then. Unfortunately, I had only seen the penguinmagic trailer for this and not the official one from Andy Nyman. Normally I really like the penguinmagic one, but I wasn't sold on this at all. I had the method tipped to me and immediately ordered it. I believe we have been burned so many times in purchasing effects that we are more cautious to purchase an effect, even if it is a good one.
I have gimmicks here that are similar but nowhere near as easy to use.

I thought it was very strange that I couldn't find any reviews on here but went ahead and ordered it anyway. I think it's a great product that achieves what before could only be done with a laborious method. It's great to be lazy sometimes.

Just seen Alakazam vlog with this deck, looks like it would suit me.The only thing stopping me ordering now is how hard is it to see what you have to see !!!!!My eyesight is not that good .I will email Alakazam in the morning .

I'm 72 with recent cataract surgery. The gimmickry is elegant and sharp. Wearing glasses, I have no problem seeing what I need to see.

This is something I want to use more frequently, but feel kind of stuck with. On the face, it seems like the possibilities are endless, but I haven't found the perfect place for it in my routine yet.
I never found a deck like this which I truly loved, and I was hoping that "the Code" could be that deck. The method is beautifully executed and I find it easy to get a strong "read" on the cards and where they reside in the deck. All in all, The Code is a fantastic tool for magicians and mentalists, provided you find a strong routine that takes advantages of its inherent strengths. |
