Is there a general resource about Wallets? Sort of a encyclodedia or feature breakdown to explain what's available in magic wallets.
I would like to replace my aging non-magical wallet with a useable magic featured wallet but there are so many options its overwhelming. Reading reviews of individual wallets only seems to confuse me more as each one seems to be the greatest wallet with the easiest/most features. Thanks. -Robert |

I feel your pain, Robert.
I'm not sure that any such resource exists in one convenient place, but there is a load of stuff on here. What sort of functions do you want? Tom |

Well, I think I would like at least a CTW and a peek. I'm not sure which types of those two things I would like though...
See that's just it, I'm not entirely sure what all is available. I was hoping one of the big magic vendors would have a guide. Perhaps not. Thanks. -Robert |

If you want to use any of the wallets as an everyday wallet as well, your options are very limited. Then it depends on what will be the minimum cards, credit cards, ATM cards, and bills you have to have with you. If you are a minimalist then there are a few, but a very few.
Then what is your style, billfold, tri fold, sectary type. Finally, what kind of tricks do you want the wallet to help you do? Not all do everything, and those that do, there are trade offs. For instance, one wallet that does several things can only accept a folded card to wallet, the card cannot be full dimensions. Some cannot have the card appear in an envelope. Lastly, I have read 2 new wallets that have come out in the last 2 months, trying to keep up with what is being offered is more overwhelming then trying to pick one. You'll most likely do like the rest of us, just buy several until you find the one you like. |

There is not going to be that all in one fantastic wallet, I'm trying to be realistic here.
While some have peek features they won't have a sealed envelope feature. So list the features you believe you will use most in a routine and go for that wallet. What features are important to you? What routines do you want to do with the wallet? |

I use a billfold style Hip-pocket wallet currently. I would like to stick to that type of wallet.
I would definitely like a No P**M CTW and a peek. Most importantly though, I need the wallet to be able to handle the rigors of being a day-to-day wallet and yes I do carry many credit/debit/loyalty cards and some cash. Can you describe the effect of an Out to lunch feature? What is an SUC peek or how does it differ from a regular peek effectwise? I'm not fishing for methods just don't know which would be more useful for me. Are the F1 Nitro, the SAW, JOL Small Plus or the infinty wallet capable of being everyday wallets? Thanks. -Robert |

Each of those wallets has its own thread here, where you will find a lot of the answers.
Regarding SUC, Out To Lunch, etc. You need to ask downstairs! Good luck. My sincere advice is to take a deep breath and dive into some of those very long threads. The reality is that the more features, the fatter the wallet and the less room for cash, bank cards, etc. Matthew Wright's Fourseen Wallet has CTW, Card to Envelope, Multiple Peek and Mullica insert with peek. It is a larger bill fold wallet. Check it out, maybe? |

The Real Man's Wallet is a Bill Fold type wallet. That is all it does, but you need to palm a card as well. It does have some room for cards and cash, and more then most on the market.
No Palm, there is 'trade off' for everything. Some no palms, just mean you have to fold the card, while holding the deck. This takes as much practice and work as a palm version. An out lunch feature, would take up all the room for your regular credit cards and such. So I would not consider that. If you buy a leather wallet it should last as long as any normal wallet, so that is a none consideration for you. But you will have to cut down cards and notes and business cards or pass cards to a minimum. Appearance is also a consideration, and pulling out a wallet bulging at the seams is not good showmanship, it also show how neat a person you are. Good luck on your search, as it can only be your choice in the final decision. |

I highly recommend this book which covers ungimmicked, palm, and no palm wallets and how to use them. Includes many routines by noted magicians such as David Harkey, Dan Tong, Bob King, Karrell Fox, Tom Mullica, Eugene Burger, Scott York, etc. A 1991 publication, it does not cover new methods developed since then such as ones relying on m**n*ts. This book is still relevant if you own, or are thinking of owning a LePaul, Jennings, Baldacci, Mullica, Himber, Bendex, or similar wallet. Includes lots of tips and techniques, lots of which are applicable to hip pocket and off the shelf ungimmicked wallets. |

Speaking of wallets, can anyone give me info on the Mulluca wallet? Are they all created equal? If I bought one, what would be considered a good deal price-wise?

Funny, I got this in email from Alakazam on Sunday and received my Triple Threat Wallet on the previous Saturday. Haven't watched it yet but aim to... I think this was needed. I wound up choosing between a Triple Threat and the Jerry O'Connell Hip pocket wallet. The Triple threat won because I couldn't find the JOL wallet in the US.
So far I am very happy with the Triple Threat but have only had it 3 days. Thanks. -Robert |

Robert, View this video on the Triple Threat Wallet in which Marty Miller executes a great loading of a card into the Triple Threat. The full explanation is on Aaron DeLong's DVD "Believe".
