I bought an effect in which three business cards are placed on the table. The spectator place a cell phone on any card, keys on another (everyone has these items these days). The third by default goes with the wallet. When the back of the cards are examined each has the name of the item the spectator associated with that card.
What is the routine? The name should help me find the directions that may be on disk, but I think just on paper. The effect is simple, works every time, and comes with a wallet. Thanks so much if you can help the forgetful!

If I remember correctly, Personal FX by Wayne Dobson was greeted with much anger on the Café after it was discovered that the demo was misleading and showed only the best-case scenario. Is this the one?

Yup, the instruction dvd only covers the best case scenario as well... quite disappointing. That said its cheap and worth the price for the wallet/card holder really.

Nyman's effect is called "The Hidden", and IMO, is one of the strongest of these types of effects.

Great! Thanks all.
"Personal FX" it is! I had even forgotten it was a W Dobson product. I was looking for paper instructions; I should be find the DVD now I know what to look for. For the price, ease of having with me and casual way it can be presented, I like this quick effect. And will later look into "The Hidden." I don't have it unless it is in a book. I appreciate your excellent help. -Ed

Found it! f
The DVD slipcover is one of the thin cardboard slipcovers that Mark Mason uses frequently. To confuse me more, I had filed it under Mason rather than Dobson. So thanks again for helping me locate where I had put it. Back to the value, I should have mentioned that a nice wallet cames with it that is really a utility item. I understand problems cited about the advert't video featuring the best-case scenario. There are, however, only two scenarios and the best-case seems to occur most of the time. The other case is covered with a good response letting one get the same effect with just a bit more byplay. Ciao
