Taught on the DVD
{Balance Palm}- Brandon Wolf teaches a very unused palm from John Borne, called balance palm. It is used on most of his effects and routines. In it he compares the palm to a back thumb clip and a classic palm, showing how effective it can be. He teaches how John Borne gets into the palm, and how he gets into the palm. He also teaches the angles and movements of the palm. {JW Grip]- A palm that is relatively well known, Brandon Wolf teaches because it is used in other effects that he does. Like the balance palm he teaches a comprehensive study of the move. This includes angling and getting into the palm. {Edge Palm}- A palm that is taught in bobo, Wolf goes over in a short period of time. He also skims over, but mentions finger palming, classic palming, and the Downs Palm. {Back thumb clip}- Wolf teaches a back thumb clip, as it is used to clean up the balance palm, but does not generally use any effects for it. {Click Tap and Click Trap}- Brandon Wolf take on the Click Pass. The Click tap gets one coin into another hand, while the spectator thinks that they are both in the other, while the Click Trap steals both coins. These moves utilize the coin roll, or knuckle roll, and are pretty difficult to do. They are both great moves though, and the Click Trap is a go to move for me. {Gray Vanish}- For me this and the wax production were highlights of the DVD. This was pure eye candy. Wolf teaches a stunning vanish using balance palm, that is mind blowing. He also teaches two color changes using the move. {Wax Production}- The other highlight of the DVD, this is another piece of eye candy that is absolutely stunning. Another move with the balance palm, it is my go to coin production. {Oblique Change}- Another great color change. I personally use it as a way to get out of balance palm. {Wolf Spider Vanish}- Brandon Wolf's take on the French Drop, using the balance palm. It can show both hands empty, which I liked. {American Drop}- Wolfs other take on the French Drop. It uses the wolf spider vanish, but is also a color change. {Coins Across}- A simple three coins across routine that uses no duplicates or gimmicks. It is a solid routine, and had Brad Christian dumbfounded. {Gravity Pass}- The only sleight on the routine that I did not like. The moves were solid, and you could use them in table magic, but most of the routines that I do with coin magic, do not have any applications for this move. I could see how you would use the move. He also teaches one variation. {Iso Production}- A coin production that uses a unique utility, that Branden Wolf and John Borne came up with simultaneously. It is another great coin production, and is very flashy. {Two Tone}- A guess which hand type routine that uses the click passes taught earlier in the DVD. It is a nice routine, but I do not use it very much. {Mesmer}- I used to use Dai Vernon's Spellbound routine, but I refuse to after watching this DVD. It is the best spellbound routine that I have ever seen. This is worth the price of the DVD. {other slieghts}- Throughout the DVD, wolf teaches the retention vanish, Downs Pop, Whip Click, and inertia move/pass, which I also use in my other routines. Overall it is a great DVD. It is not for a beginner, and you must have your foundations in coin magic down before you buy this DVD. |

Wow, what a review dgoal123! (and only your second post?!)
Small contents edit: An Inertia Pass (aka: Sylvester Pitch) is not taught. The Inertia Production (I believe to be colloquially known as the 'pop' production) is taught. Other than that, you said it all better than I probably could. Thanks for providing such an in depth look at the contents of the dvd. |
