Review:

I first ran across the Fujiwara Gimmick by accident while searching for something else and was immediately intrigued by the possibilities that this presents. I do a lot of work with the humble Thumb Tip and utilize Sanada gimmicks extensively in my act, so a product that combines the best of both worlds got me very excited.

After looking at the available options and sizes, I decided to purchase the FG2 to start- as I work with larger coins and silks and have larger hands.

Shipping was extremely fast and the product was very well packed. The gimmick is extremely well made and very detailed; the flesh tone is a close match to my skin- but as in thumb tip work, this is not a great concern provided that you handle the gimmick properly. The handlings are not all that different from those used for Thumb Tips, and I was immediately comfortable with the gimmick and was able to do startling vanishes and productions minutes from taking it out of the box.

My wife, who is plenty familiar with my Thumb Tips and Sanada gimmicks, was completely fooled with a bare handed vanish at 2 feet; which is saying something.

The gimmick fits very well as is (your fit may vary) and due to the design, leaves plenty of room for loads. The material is durable, flexible and does not suffer from weak spots; in fact, I would love to have Thumb Tips made from the same material!

The gimmick is primarily intended for the right hand, but can also be used on the left hand covering the index, middle and ring fingers. I find that it works equally well on the index, middle and ring fingers of the right hand or the middle, ring and pinkie fingers; depending on the handling of the effect you are doing. I found that on occasion one may need to spread your fingers apart slightly when stealing the loaded gimmick to prevent slippage, but this could also be easily solved by roughing up the smooth inside of the gimmick a bit with some sandpaper to provide extra grip.

In all, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, the price, fast shipping and quality of the purchase and will be purchasing the Fujiwara Gimmick DX in the future.

Highly recommended.

I also love this thing. Looks like real bare-handed magic.
