Hi all, I have seen this effect performed here:
from 4:40 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlYivMUi......Ba20WOKw The magician seemingly does NOT touch the balloon and he makes it pop on his will. Is this effect available ?! If it is available may anyone please guide me to where is it available from ? Thank you. I have seen it performed on another ocassion by the same Magician on a wedding using a borrowed balloon ?! Been looking for it for a while now, if anyone can please guide me to a source, I would really appreciate it, thanks and have a nice day everyone ! |

Thank you very much Mr. Taylor, this looks great, BUT.... IS THIS the version in the video ? The video version, the Magician seems to be popping balloons IN people's hands. In the demo of bloon 2.0, it seems that the magician is popping the balloon on some sort of base ?! If anyone can explain to me if it can be done in people's hands I'd appreciate it, thanks !

There is a method that can be used while the balloon is in a participants hands, but it isn't something sold in a magic shop. It's actually been around for many decades and has been published. (Think about what common substance could be applied to a balloon that would cause it to pop after a short time.)

Sorry, MagicFreak, I just went by your description and did not see the vid (that'll teach me). Bob is on the right track as far as method; as he said, it has been publish and also released as a stand-alone effect. Can't remember what it was called though. Sent you a PM anyway. If this gets moved to the restricted area, we can discuss it further. I mention this because the method used in the video is actually now in the public domain.
All the best, Christopher |

Frank Zheng is his name (I think) and with his version your hand needs to be very close to the balloon.

Sean is correct and with the other discussed methods, at the point of balloon popping, you are away from it, as far as you want to be and it burst in a spectators hand or on a table, virtually anywhere.

Dan Sperry teaches a method in his lecture using an everyday substance you can buy almost anywhere, I don't believe it's 100 % original to him but there you go!
