I wonder what people like Bill Gates would say about the book?
I'm thinking they would say, good job Josh. They would almost have to because, it is what it is. Still, I can just hear mindpro saying, "Gates knows nothing about making money like I do" Tom

As you would say, show me where I spoke for him.
Just, "wondering" and "thinking" out loud, Danny. Sometimes it's good to just step back and use some common sense. Take care, Tom

So it is just as easy to step back and wonder what they would say about people who do that. I bet ot is not flattering LOL.
What is common sense about pretending to wonder about what someone you never met may think? Live in your little dream world where you make up something one person would say that you never met then follow it with a response from another person all totally made up out of whole cloth. I prefer reality.

Wow. I'm afraid this thread will get deleted by the moderators.
That would be sad because I would have to start another one and that might give Danny and Mindpro an aneurism... All over an ebook hahaha What's funny is they didn't even read the first chapter because they couldn't get past the email optin (which is an incredibly strong technique). I would post a link to the chapter here, but I'm afraid Mindpro would lose it. Josh

Josh, you could pay these two a hundred dollars to read it and they would still talk bad about the deal.
Don't feel bad, they try to get every thread like this deleted. They hate all those with something new to sell. They see em as low down good for nothing young guru's. I'm hoping one day to see a sub title on a new book that reads: "The book that Danny and Mindpro Couldn't Stop." Tom

Josh even admitted that he rushed the process and overlooked the value of reviews. I would have made the same mistake, I am sure. Mindpro's advice would take some time to implement, and may drive the cost of the book up, but one would have greater sales and probably greater profits. The greatest weakness I see from the reviews thus far (for me) is #2 on Mindpro's list. I know from my exposure to Josh's material so far, that I would be required to spend a significant amount of money to implement his strategy, and that improperly (or incompletely) implementing his advice could cost me. I would benefit from someone else who could speak to my concerns. Like I mentioned earlier, $39 is not a huge investment and I may make it without further proof, but I like that these points were raised. |

Charliecheckers, I ask this in the most humbly of ways and I would truly love your input. The problem with written word is that there is no tone in it. I ask this with sincerity:
Would it help if I wrote blog posts/videos/other content that gave you actionable step by step things related to PPC, SEO, SEM? Again, I mean that with sincerity and I would really love your input. I have been experimenting with video tutorials and screencasts to help teach even more (all free content by the way). Instead of being viewed as a "guru" - which I am most certainly not - I want folks to come to my blog with a question like "How do I make my CPC better?" And I have a post/video that lays out 5 steps to increase your CPC. With that said, I obviously need to scale the business so there is the need for ebooks, consulting, Paid Search Management, etc. But, like I said in an earlier post, 95% of what I use for my clients is free - the other 5% you'll have to pay for. The best content I have is given to my people on my email list. The folks on my list are my best friends and I try to give so much information in my emails. Anyway, I'd love to hear if more actionable (free) posts would help you? If it will help you, it will help others and that's why I do this. Josh

You didn't ask me but I think you should offer video tutorials and charge for them in some way. I think it would allow you to keep up with the shifting sands of tech stuff.
Tom keep living in delusion land.

Video tutorials are awesome....
We use them all the time.. Josh, for video tutorials (Take notes people, I am in the mood to share NINJA stuff today) Use authority stacking to rank your free videos (think long tail keywords) Start by building a powerpoint to do your training (or Party planning tips, event tips) Launch a google hangout live (1st property to stack) Record your tutorial or video blog, thenoptimize the video on youtube (2nd property) Add the video with transcript o your blog (3rd stack) Ping the blog post Share it to our social media Get some backlinks to blog post Make sure it has Schema for video and a video sitemap if you picked a good long tail keyword I have seen them rank withing 24 hrs
its ok.. balloon dogs don't bite

This is typical Dynamike, lay down some BS, incorrect and fabricated information, then claim he's not in the mood to hear from others. Well maybe we aren't in the mood to hear your made up and fabricated nonsense. Dynamike hasn’t read the book, and is taking through his %^*& again and several people, not me, have called you out on it. Need I say more? What is your point? Also what would myself or anyone have to be jealous of? That Josh wrote a book? Give me a break, anyone can do it, hell Josh did it admittedly in a month! Again in today's day and age it is literally no big deal. You seriously must have some problems, but I’m in too good of a mood to really go there. Also I have no idea where you got the idea I attacked Mike’s review, if anything I complimented him on his review from his position of a real established authority. I really can’t go any slower for you Dynamike keep up or step out, until you can deal in the realities. We all know once he gets the book there will be a raving review which again as I stated will hold absolutely no water as it will be completey biased to cover his own posts and ego, and will likely work against Josh. If I was Josh I'd be begging him NOT to review it. Josh and Dynamike and I guess maybe Tom still aren't getting that the issue is Josh and his credibility not the actual book, the $39 price of the book, the free sample chapter, few or no biased reviews,as the initial questions was who is Josh to write such a content? Is it all his own content? How and when did he become such the authority (in seemingly such a short time)? This is all before ever getting to the book, the free chapter, the price or any of that. Why is it that continually, nearly always, 20 year old charliechechers is the only one (at least that will come forward and admit it and call you guys on this) that truly gets the actual points and perspective being offered? No offense to you charliecheckers, but this is sad. If you truly look at this thread the flaming and slinging is all being done by Dynamike. When he drops out for a few days nothing is slung (if that is a word) and all is actually quite calm and others feel they can chime in without being ridiculed. That seems like the definition of bullying to me. Tom, please quit making stuff up. Bill Gates, really? What I said was according to Josh he has said he had many clients not from the entertainment or magic communities. It would be great to hear unsolicited reviews from them, or better yet normal people who have nothing to do with Josh, don't know him at all, or nothing to do with the magic community that have read the book and offered reviews based on actually reading the book and applying the content. I never said for them to post it here. It could have been done via contacting Josh or his sites or on any review sites or other. It really seems to me that Josh put his time and effort into writing the book quickly and not much time, effort and thought into the proper release and campaign of releasing the book. Another point to Josh about the idea he posed to charliecheckers, many people do not have or are not willing to invest the time and effort to click through to a video, or find and read a blog to get some information. You seem to make people have to jump through many hoops to get to the meat or real content. Perhaps you are an information junkie and like this. The average attention span when someone is searching for information is just 6 seconds. No video or blog or other "have to make them work to get there" method is going to make this work. As an infoprenuer your job should be to deliver the content as precise, direct and clearly as possible in its absolute simplest form. I know you didn't ask for my advice but consider it a free gift whether you choose to like it or not. As I said I really wish you the best with this venture (just had some concerns). Mike Clay I will address your post in another post so this one isn't even longer - apologies. |
