I saw a magician on TV when I was young, I believe it was Topper Martyn. He was introduced standing about twleve feet upstage. Then he walked downstage to the microphone and in that space the entire stage became littered with every prop known to mankind pouring from his costume. I remember thinking it was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen, and being amazed at how much setup it must have required.
