Talent & Personality, Absolutely! I saw Michael Carbonaro a few years ago when he was here at the NJPAC theater in Newark which is large, probably about 4000 seats. He did all stuff like dollar bill in Lemon, no big illusions at all yet he filled the stage with his personality. That whole show was a lesson in packs small, plays big....huge in this case!

Great points about Personality in many comments...have to agree...years ago saw Paul Daniels as many here have do his famous Chop Cup Routine to a huge theatre full of people and his personality sold this amazing effect...also think Jeff Hobson in 2000 seat theatres performing his incredible Egg Bag routine etc...its all about Personality..
