Gentlemen, (and ladies) -
Just a Heads Up: I'm happy to announce that I've created plans to build my Dalu Casket, an extremely small Blade Box that has gotten great reactions everytime I've presented it. In case you are needing or contemplating adding a Blade Box, or replacing one, you may want to seriously consider this one. Pictures are on my FB album pages, and the ad page is available thru the link in my Sig-line below. The Dalu Casket is easy to build, with no problems, with the complete and clear 40 pages of instructions. Please PM for pricing and Info. Thanks!

I sprung for Tom's manuscript. It is well done, complete, and within the scope of most DYI folks of moderate skills (perhaps having a welder doing a bit of the work). This will be a fall project for me.
Tom has built in several optical foolers (not really optical illusions but they do trick the eye). This will appear to be an impossibly small box. His thinking and discussion about wooden blades versus metal blades really gets one to thinking. His presentation is way different than the traditional Blade Box. It goes in a different direction. I'd say this is more theatrical presentation and more seems much more impossible. It might be said that the book is on the expensive side. I don't agree. In a day of $100 rope tricks and cards across routines I think this is fairly priced and maybe on the inexpensive side. it is complete with everything needed to build your own. Everything from building a mock-up to building the finished product is presented in a clear and concise fashion. All the thinking, psychology, and optics of the thing are discussed. I love reading the thinking that goes into developing a prop and a routine. Tom even recommends a couple of presentation ideas. For the DYI folks this is all you'll need to get you started on a super prop.

Thank you, Harry. Keep me posted on the building of it...there should be no problems. I think the hardest thing about the whole illusion will be slowing down on the presentation to allow the full impact on the audience.
Here is another pic of the casket that I recently found. It'll give you a good idea of its size...and at that time, I was the one getting in, so it will hold a full adult. You can imagine the audience's reaction when you pull out and show that big blade. https://app.box.com/s/qwj5570plb6pvg1ddnjp

This should work. You'll want to zoom in to make the pik larger.
