Has anyone purchased or used the Water & Ice by Rick Lax trick yet? I looks pretty neat for coffeshop type tricks and I like the "simple" feel it has to it.

Hey ckelley,
Yep, it definitely feels simple. And while there's a secret setup (takes 30 seconds), once you get performing, it's simple to execute, too. If you're doing it in a coffee shop, make sure to have a trash can close by. Cleanup is actually pretty easy with a paper towel or two...but it's sure going to look messy for a couple of seconds! Great routine! Watching that girl eat the ice, I wonder if people would try to eat the snow lol
Nice work Rick

Thanks for the quick response. Another gread idea from your magical mind. Is this adaptable to other types of cups or is there a limit on how tall? I assume , because of the secret setup, that it would have to be a solid color ( non clear) cup.
Chris Just dye it yellow with food coloring and that should stop them Quote:

The good news is that it's a very common size/type of cup that's available at Wal-Mart and your local grocery store and all around. Quote:

Hi Rick the snow production looks great but I was wondering do you have to do the rising ice trick before it for it to work

How many performances can you get out of this? And what about refills?

I don't know the exact numbers yet, but I do know that we've negotiated a really good deal with an In*#@%t S#*w manufacturer. 1) The In*#@%t S#*w is better than the Spangler stuff. 2) Refills will be cheaper than in the past. |

I like the effect but it's messy, seems limited in where you could perform this.

But I would't perform this indoors on 1) an unfinished wooden tabletop (it's fine if it's lacquered) or 2) on carpet. Hope that helps! Quote:

That's a nice twist, never thought of it with ice before. Cool. It is a little messy to clean up but I think the effect is worth it.

What you're actually buying here is not just the gimmick and not just the result of my experimenting (learning that this XXXXXXX XXXX can do this awesome other THING), but also this routine that beautifully hides the XXXXXXX XXXX in a way that it's never been hidden before. Makes everything look super fair. Spectator gets to see and taste everything before the magic happens. |

Rick can you do the rise without the snow? Because it's inedible I wonder how many layman know this substance...seems pretty commonplace now and I'd hate to end the trick with " don't eat it " and they say, oh yeah I've seen that stuff in the store...

I was wondering the same, what happens if someone grabs the snow and puts it in his/her mouth? Also You have to clean up everything perfectly to not let everything left behind because it wont dissolve as water.

Making the purchase now. I just hope the substance doesn't expire quickly if not used for a while. Anybody know ?
