So you think it's good? Any more opinions on it? Seeing it is a Rick Lax product, I don't think there's really a chance of it being bad, but I just wanna know. Also, how difficult is it?

I like how the spectator can actually take controll of it which adds . You look like you have the ability to control the cards - he notates in the video that the "magic" is simular to a particular "move" but his method has a more realistic climax which is similar to a real poker game. I enjoy the version he teaches with the borrowed deck which is the harder one to master. I really can't get into more detail without giving it away.

Would you recommend it to a beginner?

That said, I also teach a fully-impromptu method on the download. As you can imagine, the fully impromptu method is slightly more complex to pull off, but if that's the most important factor for you, then, yes, it can be done impromptu. Quote:

It helps if you can do a particular false cut...but I'll teach you that false cut on the download. Also, there's a certain partial shuffle that you have to do during part of the trick...but we go over all that stuff on the download. So you're in good hands. Quote:

Hi Rick,
Thanks for tuning in. I supposed there was a bit of a setup involved similar to poker deals, but I guess this isn't similar at all then. |

I like it. Only watched the easy version but some nice false shuffles and cuts are taught with it. Looks very fair or should I say unfair and totally disheveled process which makes the whole process more believable foe a great kicker ending!
Great work Rick! RNK

Sometimes I compile this with a couple cocktails, and I'll act even drunker than I am, which makes the reveal all the more impressive. The ONLY danger in doing this is sometimes my acting is so good that people write me off before I finish the trick, and the second you lose that momentum, well, it's less impressive.....it's best when eyes are on you at all times. So I'm still experimenting with style. But happy you're enjoying! |

I just gave Rick an idea he absolutely loved and thought I'd share with members who own this. For the finale, why not use a photo for the reveal? Take a pic with your phone, and print up a couple photos at your local pharmacy for a few bucks, and you have an organic prediction. And of course you could write on the back...those who own it know it. A real printed photo is much more impressive to spectators than a smartphone one. Enjoy!

So if you just take a pic on your phone, of the 5 card reveal...and then you have your phone sitting there the whole time...and at the end of the trick you have the spectator turn it over and power it up....Boom. Clever idea, Robert! Also...you could even lay the cards out in a particular fan that would perfectly match the cards in the photos...so not only do the cards match...the actual image matches.... |

Rick, can you tell me what basically happens in the routine?

Part 2: Then the spectator puts the cards in the order she wants. And she deals them out. And the hand she deals herself matches a prediction you've made before the trick even started...before the cards were even shuffled. In one sense-it's totally self-working. But in another sense, the more card skills you have, the better the trick will be, as there are all sorts of nuances you can add. |

This suggests she can arrange all the cards of the deck however she likes, which is not remotely the case. She is allowed to choose the order in which certain groups of cards are arranged. I am not saying his is a bad trick, as I actually think it is pretty good, but the options are not quite as free as Rick's post suggests. |

You do shuffle the cards at the start, and the spectator can regroup the cards as she chooses, but you're right, the spectator can't fully shuffle the deck. So I apologize if that was misleading. :/ In other news, are you liking the trick overall? |
