Hi,
I've been asked to put together a web site for the Hoosier Magic Convention 2004 in Indianapolis. I'd like to add some magic quotes to the site and was wondering if anyone had a favourite quote (celebrity or otherwise) or piece of magical wisdom they would like to contribute. Obviously full credit will be given. Thanks, Steve |

"Magic: The art of turning superstition into coin."
- Ambrose Bierce, in The Devil's Dictionary. Some here would know him better from the movie Old Gringo where he was portrayed by Gregory Peck, opposite Jane Fonda. "The performer who looks for the magic in his props would probably take a piano apart to look for the music." - Peter Marucci (hey, that's ME!) Cheers, Peter Marucci showtimecol@aol.com |

Although not originally said about magic, the following is sort of relevant: "You can only see something for the first time once."

"Seeing IS Deceiving!" - Me
Your choices in life can be compared to watching a magic trick: You can continue to believe the illusion in front of you, find the intrigue and desire to learn more, or quit paying attention the moment you feel deceived.

The magician and the politician have much in common: they both have to draw our attention away from what they are really doing.

I can't help you directly, but my suggestion is for you to simply pass by some book stores. They have books on quotations and often they're indexed so that you can look up any topic... such as magic.
