Hey folks,
I just ordered two decks of Asher's Fournier 605's, one in brown and the other in green. I wanted to 'test' them out first before committing to a brick. Cards arrived yesterday and I was stunned by the totally different feel to these, compared to Bees or Bikes. I noticed they wouldn't faro right out the box. I do understand that Lee suggests a very in-depth break-in process before the cards are 'ready' for play. For those of you who own these decks, what do you think of these? How would you compare them to others and do you think they're worth the expense? (for you, of course) Thanks! Roberto

I can't say I broke mine in, but I do own them. The thing you also have to consider is Lee's reputation and his high standards for cards. I know many magicians who swear by them, but it's 6 of one and half a dozen of the other.
Buy cheap bikes - that are familiar and easy to get, but replace them more? Or buy the 605s and have a better long lasting deck, but the inconvenience of ordering them and the unfamiliar appearance to lay people. Here was the review I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdsoiZp_ids |
