This is something I put together awhile back, first chance I had to get it on film....believe it or not it has fooled Magicians.

Cute...! Nifty idea for a kid show mindreading effect.

Love it, was this made from scratch or was it a toy you modified ? Either way its good.

Thanks - I collect old tin toys ( pre 1970 ). I adapted a magic idea to the workings of the toy, you can apply similar ideas to a lot of toys on the market, this toy was not modified.

This is great! I could see this going over very well, especially for kids.

Great job

That's really cool Chuck. I like that a lot.

Can what the bear draws be customized? I could see this playing as a much darker effect, with the toy aged with some burn marks...he ends up drawing a head with horns or something equally wicked.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.

Very cool! That mechanism has a lot of potential.... I'm considering buying one and ripping the mechanism out to see what I can hide it in... maybe just a slightly creepier automaton. (If that's ok with you, of course...) Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the uplifting comments...I believe with a little tinkering the mechanism can be removed and hid in something else...feel free to do as you wish, this effect was just an idea I came up with.

Of all the battery tin toys this is one of my favorite, it really is a complex piece because the arm guide goes into his desk and mimics the design or plate inside and actually transfers this image above onto paper, fascinating to watch.

You should be able to find the drawing teddy on Ebay or antique toy stores.
