I have been practicing ventriloquism for several months now, but still can't pronounce a few letters. About how much time does it generally take to learn?

Hm. How long is a piece of string? Some take thirty seconds, some take thirty years. Not trying to be flip, but it's different for each person. There are some wonderful books and videos available and some excellent courses as well.

Zach - it is more than simply learning a substitution. You need to have proper airflow to carry the sound and use the tongue to modify the substitution so it sounds right. If you are learning out of books, it will take longer than if you have good video instruction. (But you can do it.) If you learn from incorrect instruction, it will take even longer since you will need to unlearn patterns.

Check out the new free tutorial on my show blog at: http://comedyventriloquist.com/blog/how-......ictures/

I discuss how to create the modifications. It is basic instruction, but should get you thinking in the right direction.
