Not interested at all. The flourishes didn't even look that amazing and I can imagine lots of problems trying to use it as normal deck. Maybe swap it in during some magician's tournament but even that seems really weak.

My guess : if it's magnetic I doubt it can be spread well .

Actually this looks ok . But I can't see myself doing this . I still prefer to go through the steps of learning to be a master in it , and not to get a short cut and be only reliant on the deck for flourishing .

Would not be able to hand the cards out though? and would have to do a deck switch ,which I am not bothered about but mmm, think I will pass on this and I wonder how much? can not see it being too cheap?.

It is cheap....
http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S18513 I think you guys are reading a bit too much into it. This looks like a fun way to do flourishes- and that's what its designed for. If you want to follow it up with a trick, not too hard to do a deck switch if needed. |

I genuinely like the look of this too.
I have never been a card move monkey and have never needed to learn fancy flourishes, but this looks like something fun. My only concern is, the quality. It is very cheap, I'd like to think this was a bespoke manufactured gimmick but fear it will just be a normal deck with a few piles stuck together with glue and a magnet in the side that won't really work.... I hope it is good. Might take the gamble. Looks like nobody has bought this yet. Review needed.

I also question the ad copy:
"special deck with real magnets" "special gimmick included" Does that mean there is a gimmick in addition to the deck? (like something you wear or stick on your hand?) |

Errr... a hand magnet, I hope not!

If its a PK ring, that's fine (and would make sense)... but its too cheap to include one and the deck.... I'm not putting something on my hands to do a flourish...
In other words, we need a review.. lol |

Paw, can you comment more on the quality of the deck, magnets, fixings and usability?

This might actually work better as a tool to practice flourishes, better option than taping stacks together.

Hey magicmarkworldwide2 -
just like any other; this product will not appeal to everyone. I think of magnetic deck as more of a utility device than a "trick". when you finish a flourishing session and want to take it over the top. this is the thing. It's fun to use but you will have to figure out how to use best it in your act. you may even take the idea and build on it. |

I don't do any flourishes, but I purchased this (hasn't come in yet). I'm thinking I'm going to add it to a routine where I'm telling a story about a house of cards. I particularly liked the look of the impossible house of cards. There is no way to balance that with real cards. A quick deck switch, and then hand out the entire deck for someone to select a card from the house of cards.
I think this deck is great if you can incorporate it into another effect, not using it as the effect. KJ |

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder . Look forward to your review after you received this . A good review might change my entire viewpoint of a product .
